Double seam analyser for inspecting and measuring seaming in food cans , ideal for both can makers and can fillers.

Seam measurements are carried out on a properly magnified digital image. The measurement procedure requires manual placing in position of default cursor lines. After recording external parameters (body , cover, seam and length thickness) the operator can go on to measurements of body hook , cover hook , counter sink , free space. The software will work out overlap percentage , BHB percentage , seam gap. An internal data base will supply minimum and maximum values for each parameter. All double seam measurements as well as images can be saved in a database report for various uses.

Optical Unit

An optical unit is mounted on a stainless steel stand . It features a digital camera with a 2.5x objective and an optical field with Usb port , a focusing slider  and co-axial led light source . 

An adjustable sample holder is fitted on the stand to allow steady focus in image capturing.

The calibration device can be placed in the same position as the sample

Seamware multilingual software

Capture image software and sequence measurements . Measurements are mouse-operated and calculations are automatic. They are stored in a data sheet for later review.
